SOLAR SYSTEM MERCURY NWA 8409 Meteorite Silver Coin 1$ Niue 2016

31.1 (1 oz). This beautiful 1 Oz Silver coin, with a real meteorite and yellow Antique Finsh quality, is the second issue of the series “Solar System”. The coin depicts the Mercury surface on both sides, with a concave shape and the insert is a real piece of the NWA 8409 Meteorite. The coin is housed in a prestigious wooden box with Certificate of Authenticity. Extremely low mintage of 686 pieces worldwide! The reverse of the coin depicts the Mercury surface, with very realistic details. What makes this coin unique is a real meteorite called NWA 8409, fallen on Earth in Northwest Africa, inlaid on the coin. On top of the coin the inscription “Solar System Mercury” and on the obverse side the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Mercury Mercury is the smallest planet in the Solar System and the one closest to the Sun, with an orbital period of about 88 Earth days, which is much faster than any other planet in the Solar System. Seen from Earth, it appears to move around its orbit in about 116 days. It has no known natural satellites. It is named after the Roman deity Mercury, the messenger to the gods. Partly because it has almost no atmosphere to retain heat, Mercury’s surface temperature varies diurnally more than any other planet in the Solar System, ranging from 100 K (-173 °C; -280 °F) at night to 700 K (427 °C; 800 °F) during the day in some equatorial regions. The poles are constantly below 180 K (-93 °C; -136 °F). Mercury’s axis has the smallest tilt of any of the Solar System’s planets (about 1/30 of a degree). However it has the largest orbital eccentricity: at aphelion, Mercury is about 1.5 times as far from the Sun as it is at perihelion. Mercury’s surface is heavily cratered and similar in appearance to the Moon, indicating that it has been geologically inactive for billions of years. Mercury is gravitationally locked and rotates in a way that is unique in the Solar System. As seen relative to the fixed stars, it rotates on its axis exactly three times for every two revolutions it makes around the Sun. As seen from the Sun, in a frame of reference that rotates with the orbital motion, it appears to rotate only once every two Mercurian years. An observer on Mercury would therefore see only one day every two years. The item “SOLAR SYSTEM MERCURY NWA 8409 Meteorite Silver Coin 1$ Niue 2016″ is in sale since Wednesday, April 13, 2016. This item is in the category “Coins & Paper Money\Coins\ World\Australia & Oceania\South Pacific”. The seller is “powercoin_italy” and is located in Roma. This item can be shipped worldwide.

MARTIAN METEORITE NWA 6963 Mars Silver Coin 1$ Niue Island 2016

MARTIAN METEORITE NWA 6963 Mars Silver Coin 1$ Niue Island 2016

MARTIAN METEORITE NWA 6963 Mars Silver Coin 1$ Niue Island 2016

31.1 (1 oz). The amazing Martian Meteorite is predestined to be immortalized on this very interesting coin issued by Niue Island with an authentic fragment of meteorite inlaid. It depicts the meteorite NWA 6963 blasted from the Mars surface by an asteroid impact. The coin features Ultra High Relief, Antique Finish quality and a vivid coloration. Mintage limited to only 500 pcs. The colorful coin’s reverse features a real and genuine meteorite NWA 6963 generated by an asteroid or comet impact on Mars and finally landed on the Earth. On top of the coin, the inscription: “Martian Meteorite NWA 6963″. Panoramic space view with the Red Planet. The coin’s obverse depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the face value: One Dollar, the issue country: Niue Island and the issue date: 2016. Martian Meteorite A Martian meteorite is a rock that formed on the planet Mars and was then ejected from Mars by the impact of an asteroid or comet, and finally landed on the Earth. Of over 61,000 meteorites that have been found on Earth, 132 were identified as Martian as of 3 March 2014. These meteorites are thought to be from Mars because they have elemental and isotopic compositions that are similar to rocks and atmosphere gases analyzed by spacecraft on Mars. On October 17, 2013, NASA reported, based on analysis of argon in the Martian atmosphere by the Mars Curiosity rover, that certain meteorites found on Earth thought to be from Mars were indeed from Mars. The term does not refer to meteorites found on Mars, such as Heat Shield Rock. On January 3, 2013, NASA reported that a meteorite, named NWA 7034 (nicknamed “Black Beauty”), found in 2011 in the Sahara desert, was determined to be from Mars and found to contain ten times the water of other Mars meteorites found on Earth. The meteorite was determined to have formed 2.1 billion years ago during the Amazonian geologic period on Mars. Niue Island MARS 2016 $1 MARTIAN METEORITE NWA 6963 Silver coin 1 oz

Niue Island MARS 2016 $1 MARTIAN METEORITE NWA 6963 Silver coin 1 oz

Niue Island MARS 2016 $1 MARTIAN METEORITE NWA 6963 Silver coin 1 oz

Premium Handmade Antique finish. Real mars meteorite NWA 6963; High relief. Yes + special certificate for the meteorite. Each coin has a piece of Meteorite NWA 6963. Real Mars meteorite inlay. Pure silver 1 ounce. Very low mintage of just 500 coins in the world. Box with color package. Legal tender of Niue Island (New Zealand Dollar). Certificate of Authenticity + certificate for the Meteorite NWA 6963. NWA stands for Northwest Africa, which is where this particular meteorite was found. The hunter continued collecting pieces in the same area for about 6 months. In mid-May, 2012, the NWA 6963 locality, near the river Oued Touflit, became widely known and hundreds of meteorite hunters went to the area searching for more pieces. Pieces ranging from 100 to 700 g have been recovered, as well as a few small pieces (3-10 g), most of them are broken and partially covered by a thin fusion crust. The total mass may be as much as 8-10 kg. The timing of the release of these coins is excellent as Mars has been in the news a lot recently. In addition to the current plan for volunteers to at some point go to Mars and live there for the rest of their lives and last year’s hit movie with Matt Damon, The Martian, which won Academy Awards, there is brand-new research about the surface of Mars. 3.4 billion years ago when a large asteroid hit the planet, it triggered tsunamis that covered several hundred thousand square miles of the planet with water that has been frozen in the years since then. Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and the second-smallest planet in the Solar System, after Mercury. Named after the Roman god of war, it is often referred to as the “Red Planet” because the iron oxide prevalent on its surface gives it areddish appearance. Mars is a terrestrial planetwith a thin atmosphere, having surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moonand the valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. The rotational period and seasonal cycles of Mars are likewise similar to those of Earth, as is the tilt that produces the seasons. Mars is the site of Olympus Mons, the largest volcano and second-highest known mountain in the Solar System, and of Valles Marineris, one of the largest canyons in the Solar System. The smooth Borealis basin in the northern hemisphere covers 40% of the planet and may be a giant impact feature. Mars has two moons, Phobos andDeimos, which are small and irregularly shaped. These may be captured asteroids, similar to 5261 Eureka, a Mars trojan. Extremely high international collectible demand. The item “Niue Island MARS 2016 $1 MARTIAN METEORITE NWA 6963 Silver coin 1 oz” is in sale since Sunday, November 20, 2016.
