Egyptians take pride in their rich heritage and in their descent from what is considered the first great civilization. Some 4,500 years ago Old Kingdom Egypt possessed enough peace and wealth to cultivate a culture devoted to the afterlife. Some 20,000 to 30,000 people were mobilized to construct the Great Pyramid at Giza for the pharaoh Khufu; at 147 meters (481 feet) high it was the tallest monument in the world for thousands of yearsuntil the 19th century. Egypt is Africa’s second most populous country after Nigeria, and it has the highest population in the Arab world. About 95 percent of Egyptians live along the Nileon less than 5 percent of Egypt’s territory. The Nile Valley is one of the world’s most densely populated areas, containing an average of 1,540 persons per square kilometer (3,820 per square mile). Most Egyptians are Muslim Arabs, but there is a sizeable Coptic Christian population of seven million. The Aswan High Dam, completed in 1971, provides hydroelectricity, as well as a controlled water supply for year-round irrigation and desert reclamation. The new Sheikh Zayed Canal diverts water from Lake Nasser to create new farmland. Harnessing the Nile, however, has reduced silt deposits downstream, increasing erosion and soil salinity. 62.2 (2 oz). First issue of the Imperial Art series dedicated to Mesopotamia civilization. This series is about art, architecture and the achievements of the greatest civilizations and empires. Mintage is only 500 pcs. Each coin is numbered on the edge. Green Agate Crystal placed in the coin symbolizes the rich vegetation Hanging Gardens and the harvest lands in the river basins of the Tigris and Euphrates. On the back of the coin there is a fragment of the Code of Hammurabi or the language commonly called cuneiform, the Gate of Ishtar or monumental gate of Babylon, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, one of the seven wonders of the world and the Euphrates river. On the obverse of the coin we find the coat of arms of Queen Elizabeth II, the palace of King Sargon II at Khorsabad, the bust of King Sargon II and the famous Lamassu, sculpture of a bull with a human face of the Sumerian tradition. Mesopotamia Mesopotamia is a name for the area of the TigrisEuphrates river system, corresponding to modern-day Iraq, Kuwait, the northeastern section of Syria and to a much lesser extent southeastern Turkey and smaller parts of southwestern Iran. Widely considered to be the cradle of civilization in the West, Bronze Age Mesopotamia included Sumer and the Akkadian, Babylonian, and Assyrian empires, all native to the territory of modern-day Iraq. In the Iron Age, it was controlled by the Neo-Assyrian and Neo-Babylonian empires. The indigenous Sumerians and Akkadians (including Assyrians and Babylonians) dominated Mesopotamia from the beginning of written history c. 3100 BC to the fall of Babylon in 539 BC, when it was conquered by the Achaemenid Empire. It fell to Alexander the Great in 332 BC, and after his death, it became part of the Greek Seleucid Empire. Around 150 BC, Mesopotamia was under the control of the Parthians. Mesopotamia became a battleground between the Romans and Parthians, with parts of Mesopotamia coming under ephemeral Roman control. In AD 226, it fell to the Sassanid Persians and remained under Persian rule until the 7th-century Arab Islamic conquest of the Sassanid Empire. A number of primarily neo Assyrian and Christian native Mesopotamian states existed between the 1st century BC and 3rd century AD, including Adiabene, Osroene, and Hatra. MYSTERIES OF HOGWARTS Crystal Art Castle 2 Oz Silver Coin 2$ Niue 2015

62.2 (2 oz). This 2 Oz 999 Silver Antique Finish coin, the fourth of “Crystal Art” series, features the mysteries of Hogwarts, the Wizard School of Harry Potter, a fictional British school of magic for students aged eleven to eighteen. The coin is decorated with a real crystal glass insert. Low mintage, only 688 pcs worldwide! The reverse of the coin depicts the famous Hogwarts Castle, a huge, rambling, quite scary-looking castle, with a jumble of towers and battlements. A wonderful crystal insert makes this coin unique. On the bottom of the coin, the inscription: “Crystal Art” and on the top of the reverse, the inscription: “MYSTERIES OF HOGWARTS”. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. All around the inscriptions: “ELIZABETH II”, “NIUE ISLAND” (issuer), “2 DOLLARS” (face value), “2015″ (year of issue). Hogwarts Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is a British wizarding boarding school teaching the magical arts, located in an unknown location in Scotland. The castle is in the mountains near a loch. The precise location of the school can never be uncovered because it has been rendered Unplottable. To muggles the school looks like an old abandoned castle. Similarly, most wizarding schools locations are protected in order to prevent their ways of teaching being revealed, as well as protect the students and schools themselves from any harm. Hogwarts is more-than-likely a fantasy world of its own. Established around the 9th or 10th century, Hogwarts is considered to be one of the finest magical institutions in the wizarding world, though other notable schools include Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and the Durmstrang Institute. Children with magical abilities may be enrolled at birth, and acceptance is confirmed by owl post at age eleven. However, if the child in question is a Muggle-born, or a magical child born from non-magical folks, a professor from the school will come and inform the child’s parents. The school’s motto is Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus, which, translated from Latin, means “Never tickle a sleeping dragon”. The item “MYSTERIES OF HOGWARTS Crystal Art Castle 2 Oz Silver Coin 2$ Niue 2015″ is in sale since Thursday, July 07, 2016. This item is in the category “Coins & Paper Money\Coins\ World\Australia & Oceania\South Pacific”. The seller is “powercoin_italy” and is located in Roma. This item can be shipped worldwide.
