Many people think that white tigers are a separate subspecies, or even a separate sub-population of Siberian Tigers. This isn’t the case, however. White tigers are not a separate subspecies. They’re not albinos. They’re not so-called “royal white tigers”, nor are they “snow tigers, ” neither of which actually exist. Rather, white tigers are simply tigers that are born with white fur. The Year of the Tiger. Centuries ago, the Chinese invented a calendar based on the lunar (rather than the solar) cycle.
