Part of a mintage of just 2,000 pieces, the coin was struck from 2 oz of. 999 fine silver and has an antique finish. Vibrant Norse Dragon Design. Ian Rank-Broadley’s famous right-side portrait of Queen Elizabeth II graces the obverse. The image, which has appeared on coinage for more than two decades, shows the monarch wearing a tiara and earrings. Rank-Broadley’s initials, “IRB, ” are inscribed at the base of the design. The monarch’s name, “ELIZABETH II, ” joins the name of the issuing country, “NIUE, ” the coin’s face value, “FINE DOLLARS, ” and the date, “2020, ” on the rim.
