MCM Picks: Memorial Day. The New Zealand Mint has introduced a Chibi® coin series honoring FRIENDS(TM), an American ensemble cast sitcom that aired from 1994 until 2004. The first two releases of the series are a tribute to Ross GellerT and Rachel GreenT, the endearing and surprisingly compatible paleontologist and waitress pair of characters that maintained their on again, off again couple status throughout the series. This Chibi Cast of FRIENDS set includes coins dedicated to the Ross Geller and Rachel Green characters. Each 2022 dated coin is crafted from 1 Troy oz. The coins are each whimsically shaped as a FRIENDS personality. Each coin is minted with a vibrantly colorized proof finish. The production of each coin is officially authorized by Warner Bros. The coins will arrive in FRIENDS themed packages as originally issued by the Mint. Mintage of each coin style is limited to only 2,000 pieces. The effigy is the work of acclaimed British sculptor Ian Rank-Broadley.
