1 Oz (31.10g). The Wolfe Creek Crater coin is the second in it particular series after the release of the Canyon Diablo coin in 2014. As with most coins of this theme, pride of place goes to an inset piece of the actual meteorite, but this series has it sat. The coin at the low point of an ultra-high relief reverse side, and the chunk is far larger than most that have gone before. Previous coins have always had a tiny chuck embedded in a windowed hole. Like last years Canyon Diablo, it really is quite a superb example of the genre, being beautifully struck and highly detailed. The concentric ripples just scream out. And the textures struck into them are pretty impressive. As good as the Canyon Diablo coin was, this one improves on it. Incredibly low mintage – limited to only 666 pieces.
